| Tractel Derope Systems
Tractel de-rope kits are specially designed for evacuation and rescue purposes applicable to heights or confined space situations. They are ideal for utility worker rescue kits, as well as for descent from wind power windmills. Due to the simplistic nature of the Derope and its use, training knowledge retention proves strong in comparison to other traditional rescue methods.

Emergency Evacuation Device
A continuous length of 3/8 in. (9 mm) polyamide rope (length determined by the unit's height from the ground) passes through the brake sheave. The rope is equipped with an attachment point at either end. As one end is in use during evacuation, the other end rides up into position for the next evacuation. The centrifugal force brake mechanism ensures a constant rate of descent of 138 ft.lmin. (42 m/min.).
Rescue Device
The Derope can also be used for rescue operation where the rescuer can evacuate a person and either descend with him or not. The rescuer passes the trail rope around the pigtail of the Derope and uses that trailing rope and the jamming cleat to control the descent. If it is not possible to evacuate the person vertically due to obstructions, the evacuation can be carried out down a cableway or tagline positioned at an angle between 3~' and 60'.
Derope with Hand Wheel Winch
The Derope is also available with a hand wheel winch that is used to lift the person to be rescued in order to release him from the structure. The person can then be lowered on his own or accompanied by the rescuer following the standard procedures for rescue applications.
Derope with Ladder Bracket E
Available with a bracket and a hand crank that can be secured on ladder rings to perform rescue operations.
