Alumo-Thermite Welding

The patented 3 in 1 Alumo Thermite Welding System is the only completely prepackaged disposable crucible available. The crucible comes factory packaged with the portion, crucible, and thimble.
Features

  • Light Weight-only 32 Ibs /14.5 kg.
  • Simple 4-step installation-align rail, install molds, preheat rail, ignite.
  • Durability-the crucible is packed in an external protective sand layer.
  • Environmentally sealed against outside elements.
  • Kits available for both short (SP) and long (LP) preheat times.
  • Molds available in both 2 or 3 piece type.

Smaller and lighter molds provide easier installation. Preformed lute strips make installation easier and lessen mold blow-out. Mold design ensures that alumo thermite rail welding becomes even more simple and safe.

The sophisticated design of the welding collar and position of the foot risers at the rail foot perimeter improves the heat build-up effect during preheat.
Redesigned welding collars avoid possible heat-fissures (warm cracks) in the area between rail foot and web as well as preventing breakage in the rail foot center caused by self tension.
Thanks to sealed factory prepackaging, the final reaction eliminates damage resulting from surrounding atmosphere. The final result is a pure homogeneous and elastic web.
Even more important, the risk of mistakes and failures caused by the welder are reduced. Grooves in the mold rail face combined with lute strips eliminate failures attributed to sand sealing processes.

Weld Shear

Stanley's powerful yet light-weight Weld Shear is the ideal tool for shearing thermite welds with a shearing force of over 20,000 Ibs (89,000 Nm).
The WS10's efficient design allows welds to be sheared prior to dismantling the weld mold, decreasing the time to set up and increasing productivity.
The in-line pump handle eliminates rocking of the shear on the rail during shearing operation.

  • 10 Ton / 9 Metric Tons shearing force.
  • Controls placed away from shear for operator safety.
  • Efficient hand pump.
  • 4 self-locking hold downs.
  • In-line handle.
  • Replaceable rollers.

Safe Bond

The patented Stanley Safebond System provides the ultimate in low temperature bonding. The system is completely self-contained providing a complete package to install a wide variety of rail bonds from start to finish. The electric arc that is produced by the Safebond gun is isolated between the electrode and cable lug, thus providing the lowest material melting temperature. The high strength bonds are ideal for applications in specialty track work where a low-temperature bond is required.

Chain Saw

The CS06 Chain Saw offers the highest power-to-weight ratio of any chain saw on the market today. All models feature interlocking triggers, hand guards, low kick-back bars and chains.
Because hydraulic power doesn't require a flywheel to smooth power pulses, there is no chain coasting when the trigger is released.
The CS06 pistol-grip chain saw is ideal for timber tie/sleepers.

  • Low kick-back.
  • Wide variety of bar lengths.
  • Operate from open or closed-center circuits.
  • Highest power-to-weight ratio.
  • Operates on both Type I and II circuits.
  • Underwater models available.
  • No chain coasting.
