Sperian OS100 Powered Air Purifying Respirator with Auto-Darkening Welding Helmets

The heart of the Sperian OS100 PAPR system is a motorized blower that is powered by a rechargeable. lightweight. lithium ion battery. The blower draws ambient air in through a fine particulate filter then delivers the filtered air through ventilation ports in the helmet providing clean. refreshing air to the user. As a result the user enjoys the safety of breathing clean. fresh filtered air as long as he wears the helmet.

The Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) recently increased education on high visibility safety topics such as Hexavalent Chromium, Cr (VI), to companies which in turn increased the demand for high quality powered air purifying respirators (PAPR).
Note! The Sperian OS100 respiratory system must NOT be used in environments where there is an immediate danger to life or health (IDLH) or in atmospheres containing less than 19.5% oxygen. The Sperian OS100 PAPR must NOT be worn as protection against gases or vapors.

SAFETY

  • The powerful blower system produces on average 230 LPM of air flow which exceeds the 170 LPM requirement set by the National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH)

Sperian Slotted Hard Hat Adapter

The new Sperian® Slotted Hard Hat Adapter is the first of its kind to feature multiple position adjustment both vertically and horizontally. This multiple positioning capability provides welders with the flexibility to attach their Sperian welding helmet to a variety of slotted hard hat designs. With this new Slotted Hard Hat Adapter, welders can position their helmet horizontally for optimum eye-to-welding filter distance, as well as vertically to provide sufficient clearance to raise helmet over the hard hat. This is especially important when fitting hard hats with extended top surface design contours.
The Sperian Slotted Hard Hat adapter will work with all Sperian Optrel Welding Helmets sold in the Americas and has been designed to fit the slots of the following hard hats:
