Ideal for Thermographers
The Oberon ArcFlash glove is an excellent supplement to your ArcFlash PPE program. It extends to the hand protection from the radiant energy of an arc flash explosion up to NFPA 70E Hazard / Risk Category 4 (40 cal / cm2 ATPV). These gloves are not rubber insulating and are not intended to provide insulation from electrical shock. The gloves are manufactured from Oberon's custom proprietary fabrics.

Flashbarrier Arc Suppression Blanket
The new 15 KA Flashbarrier blanket provides a passive barrier from peripheral arc blasts. Ideal for confined spaces such as underground vaults, the blanket will deflect the thermal energy of an arc blast occuring beyond the primary work area. This revolutionary new technology offers several significant advantages over existing technology:

FreshAir Hood Ventilation System
The FreshAir hood ventilation system is an option available on Oberon Flashguard hoods and most other Oberon hoods to provide addtional comfort to the user of the hood. The system add a steady stream of external air into the hood, blown across the face to increase comfort by reducing the stuffiness and humidity within the hood. The system is not intended to purify external air. It is NOT a NIOSH approved respiratory system. The system works with a belt mounted fan pack and battery pack (purchased separately), to drive the air into the hood.

The Aluminized PBI / Kevlar knit, while more expensive, provides a greater degree of comfort than the heavier, stiffer and thicker materials like Aluminized Rayon, Aluminized Carbon Kevlar and Aluminized Beta-Glass materials. The addition of FR lining adds additional protection from molten metal splash without sacrificing comfort.
  • Premium materials and construction - premium 6 oz. Aluminized 60% Kevlar / 40% PBI with rip stop knit. The inner layer is 7 oz. FR cotton
