It is available with tight fitting facepieces or hoods, in a choice of materials. All four styles provide the same high level of protection with an OSHA Assigned Protection Factor APF of 10,000.

ASSIGNED PROTECTION FACTOR FOR SCBA IN CANADA
The CSA Standard states:
"Pressure Demand SCBA are currently regarded as providing the highest degree of protection. Limited simulated workplace studies have concluded that all users may not be able to achieve assigned protection factors of 10,000. Therefore, based upon this limited data, a definitive APF could not be assigned for pressure demand SCBA. When potential hazardous concentrations can be estimated, an APF no greater than 10,000 should be used."

Turn your SeBA into a Pressure Demand Airline with Escape
Do you need to work for long hours? Do you need more than 10 minutes to escape in an emergency? The solution is the North Frontier with an airline adapter. During an emergency you need an escape respirator that is quick and easy to put on, simple to use, and reliable. The answer is the North 845 and 850 EEBA. These self contained units supply a continuous flow of 5 or 10 minutes of air, allowing workers to safety exit from a contaminated area.
