The Extended Lip Su System is the only complete flexible coverup available for use on voltages through 34.5kV. Extremely versatile, it may be installed by hand while wearing rubber insulating gloves and sleeves from an insulated aerial device or platform when working 5kV or above, or with hot sticks using the SU System Applicators. Manufactured from superior SALCOR Type II elastomer, it is resistant to the effects of ozone and ultraviolet deterioration. Even at sub-zero temperatures it remains flexible. The bright Orange color provides high visibility and positive color identification in contrast to lower voltage equipment. SALISBURY's RIB-GRIP construction securely interlocks with its corresponding covers and connectors. Tapered lips facilitate easy starting on the conductors. The contour cut ends accommodate the skirts of pin type insulators and clamps. This extended lip Line Hose provides flashover protection up to 40kV. Connector End Style allows the linemen to easily connect Line Hose and Covers as required. Identifying marks on the lips indicate the best placement for the SU System Applicator for easier installation. For easy removal with tie sticks a lifting eye is molded on the connector end. Hose equipped with the #2323 Shot Gun Eye Assembly adapts hose for Shot Gun application. |

CONVENTIONAL SYSTEM
| Conventional Style Line Hose is available in either orange or white colored Type II SALCOR. Both feature SALISBURY'S RIB-GRIP Locking System. Each type is available in 1.0" and 1.25" I.D. (Class 2) and 1.5" I.D. (Class 3) in either Straight or Connector End Style. SALCOR hose is also available in 2.0" or 2.5" I.D. (Class 3) Straight Style only.
SALCOR Line Hose remains flexible even in cold weather. It is not damaged by ozone or ultra-violet rays. Conventional Line Hose should be installed with the use of rubber gloves and sleeves; on voltages above 5kV an insulated aerial device or platform should be used. The ASTM specifications on maximum use voltages should always be checked to insure the proper class equipment is being used for the system voltage being worked. |
