| LEATHER PROTECTORS |
| Leather Protector Gloves should always be worn over Rubber Insulating Gloves to provide the needed mechanical protection against cuts, abrasions and punctures.
All SALISBURY protectors are steamed pressed on curved hand forms to insure proper fit over Rubber Gloves. Manufactured from top grade leathers, all are sewn with heavy duty nylon thread in the "Gunn Cut" inseam construction pattern. Protectors are dual sized with single sized marked protectors available by special order. Each protector is equipped with a non-metallic buckle on the pull strap as well as an extra wide leather reinforcement over the thumb seam. The 156 series protectors have a palm made from specially tanned Grade A Red Boulevard buffed leather and an orange colored SALCOR "Super Cuff" in the 4" and 6" cuff lengths. The "Super Cuff" is ozone resistant and provides the same characteristics as do leather cuffs but do not absorb moisture. Thus, lessening the chance of tracking. All 7" cuffs in the 156 series are a safety orange double coated neoprene fabric. The new 133 series was designed with economy in mind. The palm is a soft reversed pig with excellent flexibility. All cuffs are safety orange double coated neoprene fabric. For extra long life the 143 series palms are grain leather specially treated to repel oil and water. Cuffs are safety orange double coated neoprene fabric. Contact your local SALISBURY distributor or sales representative for information on special requirements leather protector gloves. |

It is the responsibility of the purchaser to specify the overall length of the protector gloves. The Clearance Table above shows the minimum distance which shall be allowed between the top of the protector glove cuff and the top end of the bead of the rubber glove per ASTM F496 Specifications. Your company work rules should be followed in case of a discrepancy. |

Linemen working from insulated platforms or aerial devices, should be concerned with the possibility of accidental crossphase contacts as well as phase to ground contacts. Rubber Insulating Sleeves provide personal protection against this accidental brush contact with energized lines and equipment.
All sleeves are manufactured in Style B, curved elbow design that follows the natural curvature of the arm. They are flexible and bend easily without bunching at the elbow. A halogenous finish further increases the comfort since surface friction is reduced between the sleeve and the arm. Voltage Class 1, 2, 3 and 4 are available in one piece molded Type I natural rubber. Type II, molded sleeves are available in Class 1 and 2 in either orange or black colored SALCOR ozone resistant elastomer. Dipped sleeves are available in Class 1, 2, 3, and 4, Type I natural rubber only. Molded sleeves are seamless and completely formed and vulcanized in one process using chromium plated molds. Small reinforcing beads at the wrist and arm openings give increased strength as well as additional comfort under the arm and at the wrist when inserted inside Rubber Insulting Gloves. Dipped sleeves are seamless and available in solid colors as well as two-color combination for those who like the easy inspection a contrasting color gives. A reinforced wrist band is standard giving the user additional comfort when worn inside rubber gloves. A hand folded bead provides added strength at the arm opening. A rolled bead may be provided at the wrist on special order. This design provides ample room for winter clothing. Every sleeve is visually inspected and electrically tested at its rated proof test voltage prior to packing. All SALISBURY Rubber insulated Sleeves are tested using water electrodes straight mounting. This test method puts the least stress on the sleeve during the ASTM D1051 water to water test. Rubber insulating sleeves may be branded with serial numbers or letters for a small charge. Always specify the numbering sequence when ordering. |
