Gastec detector tubes and Gastec pumps are designed, manufactured, and calibrated together to work as a system. System accuracy depends on pump stroke volume as well as the suction characteristics of the pump and the flow resistance of the detector tube. Interchanging tubes and pumps from different manufacturers has been shown to produce erroneous detector tube results. OSHA, NIOSH, SEI, IUPAC, ANSI and AIHA have all published statements against interchangeability. Gastec operating instructions strictly prohibit the use of any non-Gastec part, component or detector tube being used with a Gastec pump and use of a Gastec tube with a non-Gastec pump. Use of a non-Gastec detector tube in a Gastec pump and/or use of a Gastec detector tube in a non-Gastec pump may result in property damage, bodily injury or death. Interchangeability of Gastec components with non-Gastec components voids all warranties and voids all performance and accuracy guarantees. Any party engaged in interchanging parts and components of different manufacturers' detector tube and pump systems may be subject to negligent product liability and breach of warranty claims. The products are for sale to, for use by, and for storage and handling by trained and qualified professional industrial, commercial, or government users. The products are not for sale to or for use by the general public. This price list contains general descriptions of detector tubes for use with Gastec pumps, kits, accessories, and spare parts. This guide includes a list of hazardous substances that can be accurately detected by qualified, trained personnel.
