Ultra- Twin® Respirators
The Ultra-Twin Full-Facepiece Respirator has an inturned lip around the edge for a secure, comfortable seal against the face. A large chin cup makes it easy to position. Five suspension headstraps and roller buckles hold the facepiece in place while minimizing hair entanglement. The wide polycarbonate lens is coated to resist scratching and chemical attack. The lens is held in place by a two-piece lens ring which is color-coded to indicate the size of the facepiece. Uses the full line of Comfo Cartridges and Filters.
Standard equipment includes a speaking diaphragm for clear, short-range communications and a nosecup, to reduce lens fogging in low temperatures or high-humidity conditions. NIOSH-certified.

An appropriate cartridge change-out schedule must be developed by a qualified professional, unless the cartridge/canister utilizes an end-of-service-life indicator. The change-out schedule must take into account all factors that may influence respiratory protection including specific work practices and other conditions unique to the worker's environment. If using against substances having poor warning properties, there is no secondary means of knowing when to replace the cartridges/canister. In such cases, take appropriate additional
precautions to prevent overexposure, which may include a more conservative change-out schedule or using an air-supplied respirator or SCBA. For use by workers who must wear corrective lenses, the Spectacle Kit can be easily inserted into the facepiece. The kit includes a wire support, rubber guide, and pair of metal-frame spectacles. Desired adjustment is obtained by moving the spectacles in and out of the rubber guide and up and down the wire support. The Advantage 1000 and the Ultravue/Ultra- Twin kits (S-7 shape, 44-mm lens size) and the Ultra Elite kit (S-7 shape, 48-mm lens size) fit Universal Bridge Corrective Lenses that can be obtained from local sources. MSA Welder's Adapters are molded of polycarbonate plastic, which has high resistance to impact, heat, and welding splatter. The clip-on adapter attaches to the facepiece by molded-in clips. The integral adapter is attached by removing the facepiece lens and replacing it with the adapter. A large vision area - 4-1/2" x 5-1/4"- provides an unobstructed view of work. The Welder's Adapter is supplied with an impact-resistant cover lens; the desired filter plate is ordered separately. Rayfoe™ Filter Plates are available in four standard shades- 6,10,12,14.
The AutoChange Electronic Welding Lens is for use with MSA Welders Adapters. The solar-powered AutoChange Welding Lens is an automatic-darkening welding filter. The welding lens is in the light state (semi-tranparent) before welding and darkens within 0.4 milliseconds after an arc is struck.
The heat-resistant Welder's Hood is designed to protect the welder's head, neck, and shoulders from welding splatter and sparks. To make it easy for you to perform quantitative fit tests, MSA offers a full line of specially modified facepiece assemblies. Each probed facepiece is equipped with a built-in probe assembly, sampling line, and clothing clip to hold the sampling line. The probes are made of solid brass. In all MSA half-facepiece models, the probe is attached to the body of the respirator. Full-facepiece respirators are probed through the lens and sealed with a neoprene washer and brass fittings.
MSA also offers probed lenses for use with existing Ultravue face pieces. These lenses come completely assembled with the same brass probe, sealing hardware, and sampling line as the probed full-facepieces. All respirators use standard MSA high-efficiency filters for tests.

OuikChek® I Adapter
Designed especially for use with MSA respirators equipped with demand-style exhalation valves, the QuikChek I Adapter allows quantitative fittesting without the need for a special probed facepiece.
OuikChek® II Adapter
The QuikChek II Fit Test Adapter allows quantitative fittesting of any Comfo® II, Comfo Classic®, Comfo Elite®, Duo-Twin™ or Ultra- Twin® Respirator. Preassembled, the adapter attaches quickly to the facepiece by threading it into the cartridge receptacle of these twin-cartridge respirators.
