Guard-Line's VIP and IMP gloves protect hands and wrists from impact and vibration related injuries without reducing dexterity or grip. Comfort and productivity are enhanced as the wrist is supported in a natural position to reduce the pain and fatigue caused by prolonged work positions or repetitive movements. Resilient latex padding or visco-elastic polymer is used to absorb shock, dampen vibration. | Layers, heat barriers and wickable linings are paramount in designing high heat hand protection. Mittens should always be worn in extreme high heat applications due to the lack of seam exposure as compared to gloves. This illustration shows the various layers incorporated into our TTM3. 30 ounce Kevlar/PBI overlay, 22 ounce Kevlar/PBI shell, 1/8" wool felt insulation, 6 ounce aluminized fiberglass heat barrier and 12 ounce wool/cotton lining. By sewing these components together, air pockets are created which add to the heat protection. Five layers of protection plus the insulation factor of air in between the layers, create maximum protection for the user. |
