Fall arrest systems always require the use of a full body harness and a deceleration device; most often, a shock absorbing lanyard is used as this device. In order to provide an easy solution for these two parts of the fall arrest system, FallTech has created a series of Combination Sets. These combos consist of a full body harness with a shock absorbing lanyard sewn to the dorsal D-ring. By providing harnesses with a variety of lanyard configurations, Fal/Tech has taken the guess work out lof fall protection.

Rescue is one of the rising considerations in Fall Arrest, being an important sub-set of Managed Fall Protection. OSHA requires Rescue to be addressed in a written Fall Protection plan, and that it be executed promptly in the event of a fall. This is a critical issue when one considers the injuries that can be sustained during the course of a fall, which may require medical attention.
One of the most critical post-fall injuries is a condition known as Suspension Trauma. This condition goes to work when an individual who is suspended in their harness after a fall begins, to have circulatory difficulties, primarily as a result of the harness putting pressure on the femoral arteries. Breathing may also become difficult if the angle at which the individual's body is hanging, is too great.
Rapid evacuation is also a concern in many work environments where people are required to work at heights. A good Fall Protection Plan will include provisions and instructions addressing the safest and most expedient route of egress in the event of an emergency.
