  • Turn on device at control box and select personal lift range of 45-120 lbs.
  • Attach Lad-Saf® Sleeve to cable and harness front D-ring.
  • Activate system by locking sleeve and moving cable slightly.
  • Movement switches the motor to "on" advancing the cable.
  • Climbing assistance provided in both up and down directions.
  • Should a fall occur, the system will lock­up allowing the user to regain footing.
  • Simply stop climbing for 4 seconds to deactivate and pause the motor.

DBI-SALA has developed a group of harnesses specifically designed for use in the Wind energy industry. ExoFit™ Wind Energy harnesses are built to last by integrating premium, specialized features into every model. The removable dorsal webbing and protective lumbar shell prevent common wear and tear associated with climbing and ascending wind turbines.
All models feature built-in lanyard keepers, a front D-ring for climbing or controlled descent, side D-rings for positioning and a dorsal D-ring for fall arrest. For added durability, each D-ring is PVC coated so they won't scratch nacelle surfaces. The construction models feature additional tool loops and rings so users have more convenient places to hang their equipment when climbing.

Force2 Wind Energy Lanyards

HAVING THE PROPER CONNECTING DEVICE IS EXTREMELY IMPORTANT IN THE WIND ENERGY INDUSTRY.
DBI-SALA has a variety of lanyards designed specifically for the challenges associated with turbine construction, maintenance or inspections.
Force2™ lanyards are designed for individuals weighing up to 310 Ibs (140 kg) and can resist up to a 12 foot (3.6 m) free fall. They've also been tested for 6 ft (1.8 m) free falls on individuals weighing up to 420 Ibs (190 kg). This is important when working on top of the nacelle and the only available tie­off point is at your feet.
A variety of styles are available. The elastic polyester webbing models are available in either yellow or high visibility orange. A 5/8" (1.58 cm) polyester rope model is ideal for companies requiring rope for their crews. With a 3" (7.6 cm) gate opening, Saflok Max™ connectors fit over a variety of anchor points most snap hooks on the market cannot. Aluminum snap hooks with 2 -1/4" (5.7 cm) gate openings are also available to help reduce a worker's carrying weight.
All of these lanyards come with a nylon shock pack with a PVC resist cover to protect against abrasion while climbing and descending.
The Force2™ Wind Energy lanyards compliment the ExoFit™ Wind Energy harness and provide a complete fall protection solution for Wind Energy applications.

The Rollgliss® R500 offers the choice of controlled descent rescue, evacuation or the versatility of assisted rescue with lifting capabilities. This state-of-the-art, fully automatic con­trolled descent device sets new standards of performance and safety in the rescue market. The system excels in handling, technology,function, safety and versatility - even under the most difficult conditions. The R500 is the result of 50 years of experience in the manufacture and practical use of safety and rescue systems, and has been examined and tested in adherence to the most stringent standards.
The Rollgliss® R500 provides quick and safe operation with superior technology and design. The system can be used for rescue and evacuation from heights up to 1,000 ft. (300m) for one user 310 lb. (140kg) or 330 ft. (100m) for two users totaling 550 lbs. (248kg). It features 9.5mm super static kernmantle rope, and is configured with connecting hardware at each end of the lifeline. This configuration allows the R500 to operate in both directions - one end of the lifeline descends as the other ascends readying the
system for another rescue. During assisted-rescue scenarios, a fallen worker can be attached to the R500 device, raised to a point that allows their fall arrest device to be removed, then lowered to the ground safely.
