Side Entry System, Tank Pod & Accessories

The UCL model 14796 Side Entry Support Post is designed to allow the use of most UCL Safety Systems fixed bases as permanently installed mounts for the Side Entry System. The post also allows you to combine a variety of UCL lower mast extensions to accommodate varying heights. *Some restrictions may apply. Call UCL for more information.

11231 External Adjustable Tank Collar

The UCL Side Entry System is designed for confined space entry/retrieval and rescue operations involving horizontal entries with vertical positioning or retrieval required inside the space. The Side Entry System may be used with the model 11231 External Adjustable Tank Collar for adaptation to different manways. It may also be used with a permanently mounted base and extension post. The Side Entry System features flexible setup options and a fully articulating boom system. It is fully adaptable to an infinite number of manway designs and surrounding configurations.

External Adjustable Tank Collar: This collar is designed to attach various UCL Safety Systems accessories to the flanges of manways. Made of powder-coated, lightweight aluminum, the External Tank Collar assembles and installs quickly with minimal tools. The External Tank Collar may be used as a mounting base for a variety of accessories including fixed and adjustable sleeves for UCL Safety Systems davit arms and the UCL Side Entry System.

Tank Pod System & Accessories

Tank Pod System: The UCL Tank Pod System is designed to mount to tank manways with existing hardware for securing hatch covers. The Tank Pod mounts to manway flanges on bolt circle diameters from 19" to 36", with studs from 1/2"NC to 3/4"NC. Three independently adjustable legs accommodate flange inclinations to a maximum of 45 degrees. The unit can be set up in an overhead clearance of only 25". Lightweight anodized aluminum construction with plastic inserts at all bearing points reduce the possibility of vessel contamination and simplify equipment cleaning. Zinc-plated steel hardware resists corrosion. The Tank Pod can be fitted with a variety of UCL winches, ladder systems, and fall-arrest devices to meet any application requirement. Mounting Stud Extension Adapters: The UCL stud extension adapters are designed to allow the tank pod to adapt to existing hardware on a tank.
