Koehler Cap Lamps
| Wheat Cap Lamps are presently used by more than 85% of the underground miners in the US and Canada, as well as thousands of workers in industrial settings including Public Utilities, Construction and Tunneling, Oil, Gas and Petrochemical Exploration. Their unparalleled quality makes them a natural choice whenever hands free personal lighting is required.
These lights are available in several configurations, including Safety-Approved and Non-Approved cap lamps.
Safety-Approved WHEAT Cap Lamps
These lamps are approved for use in methan-air atmospheres by the US Mine Safety and Health Administration (MSHA) and by the Canadian Department of Energy, Mines and Resources (EM&R). They feature an intrinsically safe battery, a specially-designed highly flexible cord and a dual filament Xenon bulb with both filaments fully focusable. A single knob controls all switch and focusing functions. Lamps are charged through their headpieces.
Non-Approved lamps use many of the same technologies as the Safety-Approved models, certain devices that prevent unauthorized entry into the headpiece or battery top are not necessary. This allows these lamps to be lower cost. |

| 6400 Series (E) lamps are designed to meet international mining requirements. The series E employees two fixed focus bulbs: a primary 1.0 amp Halogen bulb and an auxillary 0.5 amp Argon bulb. A single knob lights and extinguishes each bulb in turn. An improved design makes assembly and repair simple. The series E lamp carries MSHA, Australian and Republic of South Africa mine safety approvals. |

Responder Rechargeable Lights and Accessories
| Responder rechargable lights feature a unique and revolutionary interchangeable power supply. The responder can be powered by either a 4.8 volt Ni-Cad rechargeable battery pack or 4 C cell alkaline batteries. With the rechargeable pack, the responder provides more than 2 hours of continuous light and a quick charge time of 1 hour. If you run out of light and can't recharge, simply unscrew the battery cover, remove the rechargeable pack and replace it with 4 C cell alkaline batteries and you have 5 more hours of light output. The responder easily snaps into a charger which can store the light when it is not in use. The responder is UL safety approved and is lightweight and rugged. It is water resistant and weighs less than a pound. The responder can be carried by hand, worn on a shoulder strap or clipped to a belt or pocket. The responder beam is prefocused and the unit features two spare bulb holders. An oversize push button switch allows easy, one handed operation, even with gloves.
Light includes Ni-Cad rechargeable battery pack, stainless steel coat clip and split ring. |

4900 Series Battery IntelliCharger
 |
| Emergency vehicles demand a lot of power. If the power from your alternator is not enough to run all the electrical loads, power can be pulled out of your battery rather than being restored to them. As a result, your vehicle returns to the station with discharged batteries, or worse yet, you end up stranded on the scene. Intellichargers tend to your vehicle while it is in the station, making sure the power is there when you need it. The 4900 Series Single Channel IntelliCharges are designed for 12 volt electrical systems, both positive and negative ground. They charge single batteries or banks of batteries connected in parallel. Each model features built in over charge protection, is engineered to withstand overheating, and is protected if the vehicle is started with charger engaged. Power and charge indicators are mounted on the charger.
4900 IntelliChargers are available in 20, 30, and 40 amp outputs to accomodate the different battery configurations and accessory draws found on emergency vehicles. Built-in ground fault interrupt outlet (GFI) options are also available. A remote indicator panel is also available. |
