The ultimate in worker convenience! Your foot does all the work. No bending or stooping to raise or lower the sign.
The Mouse Trap spring-loaded sign holder is designed for active spur tracks where blue flag protection is needed. The OSHA Blue Flag Policy mandates that a blue sign by day and a blue light by night mark the track in advance of stationary rail cars.
The blue sign warns approaching switching crews to stop and obtain permission to pro­ceed any further on your siding. In a busy railyard, the blue sign may need to be raised and lowered frequently during the day.
The Mouse Trap installs on a tie with lag screws. The worker has only to step on the pedal and the holder falls down below the rails. To raise the sign holder, the worker steps on the roll pin just above the pedal and the holder rises up to be locked into upright position.
For flush rail install The Mouse Trap alongside on concrete. Powder-coated yellow finish. Sign plate sold separately.

Warning Signalers for moving railcars
Heads Up
Railcar Motion Detector

A new safety siren designed to give rail yard workers a warning if a car starts to move. The "Heads Up" attaches magnetically to the bearing cap of any freight car wheel. Should the car wheel turn more than 10 degrees in any direction, the battery powered sensor emits a powerful 90 dB two tone warble. The siren has a baffle to moderate the sound level, and an illuminated on-off switch. The NEMA4X housing is rain and dust proof and all hardware is corrosion resistant. The "Heads Up" weighs 1 pound and fits in the palm of the hand.

Warning Signaler

The signaler mounts in the hole on the car coupler head. Any movement of the car causes the 4" dia. amber lens to emit 60 - 90 flashes per minute of one million candle power brilliance. At the same time, the signaler horn sounds a powerful pulsing beep (97 dB at 4 feet). The flashing light and sound continue for 4 to 5 minutes after the car stops, and resume again if any further movement occurs. A low battery indicator is included. The signaler includes a rechargeable 12 volt battery with a 10 hour operating time.

Blind Corner Train Sensor System
Industrial rail yards often have grade crossings where down-track visibility is obscured by buildings, parked rail cars or heavy vegetation. At such blind corners, Aldon's train sensor system can supplement existing safety signage and warning devices. Sensor probes buried along side the track detect the passage of a railcar or other large metallic object. Sensor range is 2,000 ft. When a car or engine passes the sensor, a flashing light and horn are activated at the crossing. Light and horn dwell time can be adjusted to suit your application. A central processor unit controls one or more sensors, lights and horns. Multiple tracks and crossing can be protected with one system. Check local ordinances before ordering.

Stop & Go Dock Lights
The universal language of red and green lights keeps the truck driver and forklift operator aware of what each is doing. Stop & Go Lights can be operated manually or wired into automatic dock block restraint systems.
Indoor (Master) light has toggle switch to control its light and the outdoor (Servant) light. Master unit plugs into 110 volt outlet. Bulb is 12 vold incandescent. Housing is polypropylene with flanges for wall mounting.
Here's how it works: When no trailer is present, the outdoor light shines green, and the indoor light shines red. The green outside light tells an arriving trucker that he can bring his trailer up to the dock. Once he has secured the trailer (brakes and chocks), he notifies the shipping clerk. The inside light is then switched to green, telling the forklift operator that he can proceed to load or unload the trailer. Meanwhile, the outside light is red, reminding the trucker that he cannot pull away yet. Once the trailer is worked, and docking equipment is removed, the shipping clerk can switch the lights to Green outside and Red inside. The truck driver from his side mirror can see that it is now safe to pull away.
