The Breather Box™
These portable Grade-D filtration systems are designed to provide breathing air for a specific number of workers. The system filters inlet air to provide respirator users with Grade-D quality air and monitors for CO and/or Oxygen.
The first stage element filters bulk water and particulate, and has an auto drain. The second stage coalescing filter eliminates atomized oils, mists, ultra-fine particulates and has an auto drain. The third stage filter removes organic vapors and odors and has a manual drain. Filter change indicators are standard on all three stages of filtration. Filtration efficiency is 99.99% at .01 micron. All Breather Boxes™ are designed to be used in the upright and closed position. The standard carbon monoxide monitor operates on disposable 9-volt batteries, 12-volt DC line voltage or 115 VAC for continuous detection. An external alarm and light signals the workers of high CO content.
Standard Features:
  • 1st Stage Filter w/filter change indicator removes bulk water and particulates

Dual Air Cart
Cylinder air and plant air all in one cart.
The Dual Air Cart system has been designed for the customer who needs both emergency short duration bottled air and continuous duty Grade-D plant air filtration all in one cart. The Dual Air cart provides for both applications on one cart and allows the user to convert his existing Air Systems' Breather Box equipment for use on the new Dual Air series cart. This new system saves the customer time and money and provides a level of emergency response not available in the past.
The Dual Air cart is ordered complete with a built in high pressure (5000 psi) regulator, 2 high pressure (CGA-347) connect whips with hand tight nuts, and one low pressure connect hose from the regulator. The connect hose attaches to the Breather Box when cylinder air is required. The cylinder air passes through the filter system and is distributed to the respirators through the Breather Box manifold and regulator system. A rear collapsible hose rack, pneumatic 10" tires, bottle straps, and front storage box are supplied standard on the Dual Air cart system.

DAC-100 Dual Air Cart with BB100-CO Breather Box, cylinders not included

Blast Air Cart
The Blast Air Cart has been designed for the commercial sandblast/paint industry and industrial plants that need advanced, high capacity air filtration. The Blast Air 50 pictured above is Air Systems' standard 50 cfm Breather Box mounted on a BA-1C prefilter cart. These rugged pre-filters automatically drain large amounts of oil and water from mobile compressors before it enters the Breather Box. This process will extend the filter life of the Breather Box and reduce maintenance downtime and costs. Any of our portable Breather Box models can be fitted to our BA-1C Blast Air Cart.
The Blast Air Cart is ideal for rental use because the pre-filter helps prevent damage to the Breather Box filtration system and extends its life.

When ordering, please specify Hansen or Schrader fittings. Other fittings available for an additional charge.

Auto-Air Breather Box
BB50-COAA BB100COAAP Connection details
The Auto-Air filtration system was developed to provide automatic reserve air in the event of either electrical failure or reduced pressure from the main air source while working in IDLH or hazardous environments. In the event of a pressure or electrical failure, the Auto-Air system automatically switches to the reserve air cylinder(s). Local and optional remote alarms signal the workers that the primary air system has failed and switched to the back-up air system.
NIOSH requires the use of a 5 minute airline escape respirator when working in IDLH environments. Our Auto-Air feature does not replace the NIOSH requirement, however, some work environments may require a 30-minute (or longer) airline escape method to safely egress the hazardous area. This situation would require the use of an Auto-Air Box or cart.
The primary air line connection is attached from the compressor. A reserve air line is attached from a reserve bank of air cylinders based on the required egress duration. The system can be tested prior to each use to ensure proper function of the Auto-Air system.

Fixed Breathing Air Panels
These fixed Grade-D filtration systems are designed to provide breathing air for a specific number of workers. The system filters inlet air to provide respirator users with Grade-D quality air. The first stage element filters bulk water and particulates; the second stage coalescing filter removes atomized oils and ultra-fine particulates, and the third stage removes organic vapors and odors. Filter change indicators are standard on all three filtration stages. Filtration efficiency is 99.99% at .01 microns. Air Quality Testing - Kit 1
Complete test kit Model LP/HP-A4K
Air Systems' breathing air quality test kits are designed to test the air produced by compressors (Model LP-A4) and compressed air in cylinders (Model HP-A4 and HP-A445). These tests are accomplished through the use of low cost detector tubes that provide a "go/no go" test of the air quality. If a high reading is found, this signals the user that they have a potentially unacceptable quality of breathing air. If this occurs, a laboratory analysis of the air components must be made to determine the exact reading of the air quality and take corrective action.
LP-A4 Models HP-A445 and HP-A4
Model Description
HP-1A Replacement carbon monoxide test tube - 10/box
HP-2A Replacement carbon dioxide test tube - 10/box
HP-6A Replacement water vapor test tube - 10/box

HP-A4 Cylinder air test module - 3000 psi max - use with test module LP-A4
HP-A445 Cylinder air test module - 5000 psi max - use with test module LP-A4
LP-47PF Total particulate test module - 20 psi max - add to test modules above - includes one filter
LP-A4 Compressor air quality test module - 100 psi max

Electronic CO / O2 Cylinder Air Test Meter
The model AQT-O2 Air Quality Test Meter has been developed out of a need to test rented cylinder blended air quality before putting them to use. Obtain an immediate and accurate oxygen reading for both high pressure cylinder air and low pressure plant air lines. The tester can be ordered with an additional sensor to read carbon monoxide simultaneously with oxygen - order Model AQT-COO2. The tester requires two 9-volt batteries for operation and is supplied with 5 feet of hose. For cylinder testing, order the optional high pressure adapter shown below, part no. AQT-347LP
The Air Quality Test Meter is supplied with low pressure air hose and a male 1/4" Hansen 3000 series plug for direct attachment to any low pressure (under 120 psi) Grade-D air source. Specify desired fitting when ordering (if different from Hansen).
AQT-O2 Air Quality Test Meter, oxygen only, max pressure 125 psi
AQT-COO2 Air Quality Test Meter, CO and O2, max pressure 125 psi
AQT-347LP High pressure air cylinder adapter, 5000 psi max
BBK-20 Calibration Kit
All meters are supplied with 5 feet of test hose and a 1/4" Hansen or Schrader low pressure plug. For cylinder air testing, order high pressure cylinder adapter below.

High Pressure Air Cylinder Adapter
When testing bottled air cylinders, the AQT-347LP adapter must be ordered. It reduces cylinder pressures up to 5000 psi down to 100 psi. The AQT's sample hose can then be plugged directly into the air cylinder adapter.

AirCheck Kit
Certified laboratory air testing is now available for high pressure bottled air or low pressure compressor air requirements. Take your own samples in 10 minutes and send out for precise laboratory results. A 2LA accredited lab will test to any recognized standards, e.g., CGA, NFPA, or Federal MIL Specs. Results can be obtained in less than 3 days; same day service is available for additional charge.
