Cross arm gin

Tripod Fiberglass Rail Assembly

• The tripod railing is designed to be used with 42" and 48" platforms only
• The tripod railing allows linemen to move freely while maintaining their balance while performing rubber glove work
• The rail assembly hinges and stores flat on top of the platform by simply removing the "keeper" pin
• All fiberglass rail members are tested and meet ASTM F-711 specifications
• The tripod rail is to be considered as a positioning device or accessory that will allow the worker to maintain proper work positioning and balance

CAUTION: The tripod rail is NOT TO BE CONSIDERED as the shock load anchor point or a side load anchor point!

Horizontal Fiberglass Rail Assembly

• The horizontal railing is designed to be used with platforms 4 ft., 6 ft., 8 ft., and 10 ft. long (models 8401, 8402, 8403, 8404)
• The rail assembly hingers and stores on top of the platform by removing the "keeper" pin
• Fiberglass rail members are tested per ASTM F-711
• The tripod rail is to be considered as a positioning device or accessory that will allow the worker to maintain proper work positioning and balance

Pivot Style Attachment

• Pivot style mounting base can be ordered as an option on adjustable style platforms only
• Pivot style mounting base fits adjustable platforms 4 ft., 6 ft., 8 ft., and 10 ft. (models 8401, 8402, 8403, 8404)
• Platform is allowed to swivel by loosening wheel tightener and platform can then be positioned in 30º increments up to 180º
• Both pivot models allow platform to swivel under load
• Two models available, standard and short clearance model

Fall Restraint / Anchor Point Tool

The Hastings fall restraint aanchor point tool is a light weight tool, designed to provide a 5,000 pount shock load anchor point when working elevated heights on work platforms. At the same time, the Hastings anchor point tool provides isolation from potential differences by means of a fiberglass member on the tool. The anchor tool has teen tensile tested to 5,000 lbs. to meet OSHA requirements for fall restraint

• Fiberglass member has solid foam core
• Insulation / Isolation distance between metal castings is 6"
• The fall restraint tool can be used to secure the line workers safety belt or the worker may choose to attach a retractable lanyard or shock absorbing lanyard as the attaching device

• A ratchet assembly with 44" nylon strap allows for quick and easy attachment to utility poles

Wide jaws make this stirrup well adapted for ACSR and aluminum lines. It is easily installed with all shotgun type hot sticks
Although this stirrup is available with all bronze parts, Hastings # 202 below is recommended for small copper lines because it is lighter
