• Cable stranding available in four sizes: 2 Str., 1/0 Str., 2/0 Str. and 4/0 Str. Copper stranding is extra flexible and is alloy coated

• 15KV rated cable is encapsulated in a 1-3/4" O.D. fiberglass tube. The fiberglass tube gives added insulation and mechanical protection for jumpering switch gear, reclosers and cutting in double deadends

• Hastings 25KV line guards and insulator hoods are designed for easy installation and removal. They are made from bright yellow ABS plastic which gives high visibility. These guards will not warp or distort making installation and removal difficult
• Ratings — The maximum rating 26.4 KV Ø to Ø is obtained when all phases are properly covered. The maximum rating is 15.3 KV to ground when only one phase is covered. They are tested per ASTM F-712
• Installation — Guards and hoods are equipped with eye and can be installed with all shotgun hot sticks. Pulling downward installs the guard and pushing upward removes guard. Eyes are adjustable to allow linemen to install guards at angles
• Interlocking — Male and female ends allows as many guards as needed to be installed on conductors (see photo above, top right)
• Air Gap — There are three molded indentations on the top of the guard to provide an air gap berween the guard and conductor. This air gap eliminates contamination the full length of the guards on the inside surface
• Wire Range — Guards are designed for use on conductor sizes 6 solid through 666.6 26/7 ACSR

• Hastings 35 K Line Guards and Insulator Hoods are designed for easy installation and removal. They are made from bright yellow ABS plastic which gives high visibility
• Ratings — The maximum rating 36.6 KV Ø to Ø is obtained when all phases are properly covered. The maximum rating is 21.1 KV KV to ground when only one phase is covered
• Installation — Guards and Insulator Hoods are provided standard with eye for installation with shotgun hot sticks. Guards with 4 ft. fiberglass installing sticks are available as optional equipment. Pulling downward and rotating installs guard
• Interlocking — Male and female ends allows as many guards as needed to be installed on conductors. The 35 KV line guards are also ideal for use on lower voltages and will couple together over 15 KV pin type insulators, single or double crossarm

• Ratings — The 46 KV line guard is rated at 48.3 KV Ø to Ø (guarded phase to guarded phase) and 27 KV line to ground when only one phase is covered. The 69 KV line guard is rated 72.5 KV Ø to Ø (guarded phase to guarded phase) and 41.8 KV line to ground when only one phase is covered.
